Simone de Beauvoir once famously said, that 'Women (and men) are not born the way they are but are made the way they are by what we expect of them.' So what do we do when our society is built by men, for men and for the expectations of them? It all boils down to masculinity vs. femininity, and what side will give us a better society? Well, Eva Cox suggests that de-gendering that which divides us is our only chance at equality.
