getting ready to get started on this podcast. This chapter we're going to talk about it is, risk factor. Risk factor. , I'm going to discuss, when is it a good time to take risks? And, when did you should stay pet.
32.
The risks backed up the risk factor.
Gray stress you can't ever take in your life. Would be a risk too. To make you become better.
Hmm better in just in general. is there a general, like, in a business school. I think. The risk is the fact that it's the uncertainty of the outcome of which way it's gonna go.
So. Having you having you taken that step of taking the risk. Is is, is building a skillset I would say of. of courage. On your building up courage because the thing is. Like I said, y'all know how the outcome's going to portray. Right. So that's like the biggest thing.
Most people's. when the thing is like, when you're taking a risk, like I'm saying the risk, the reason why you got to take a risk, because you want to go ahead and achieve your goal. And, or you go ahead and achieve your dreams. And I tell people. What are your dreams? You know? And they'll go ahead and tell me, Oh, I wanna, I wanna, I wanna do this. I'm going to do that. I want to see this. I want to go here.
Mike. Okay. Is that it. Is that just, it like. Do you like, if there's anything you could do in this world, anything that you want to be able to accomplish it, what would it be like? There's no limits, no caps. You should dream as big as you want to drink, right? To a point where it actually scares you.
Hmm. Where it actually gives you. A type of intimidation of like of actually going after it. But the reason why you should do that is because. The reason why should dream so big because you're going to have to take a risk. To go ahead and, and, and, and to. pushing your, your vision and to becoming a reality.
And when you're doing that. You're going to build up your character. Being courageous and becoming a leader. But how do we, how do we know when it's a good time to take a risk and to be courageous? Because we all need to take risks in order to grow, but. Sometimes it's not the smartest thing to take the risk right away.
There is a waiting period. And when you're going to take a risk.
I think, I think there's like,
Like, like everything else. I always say you must, you always gotta do careful planning before you just go into something. And you just can't just will, Blindly just jump into something without knowing the,
All the pros and cons of doing it right. You gotta educate yourself in different, different ways. And, see how you can get to your outcome. With, with the least amount of damage, you're going to go through some pain, but you shouldn't. You shouldn't get to the point where you're like, like.
Cutting, having so many wounds that you're not learning from your mistakes, right. Well, I mean, I don't think there's ever going to be a perfect timing, to be honest with you upon on taking a risk. Because you'll never find it. Right. You know, there's not going to be, a magnificent moment of a light descending down telling you, Hey, you need to take this now, you know?
Where everything lines up perfectly. I feel in a sense of way. Of. The, the risks should be taken when. When you had matured enough and, and you became. more aware of. Of who you are. And you're true to yourself. Okay. That will be a good time to take a risk because it's going to give you confidence.
To. So go ahead and taking the risk and to be able to accept the outcome of whatever the, the. The results may be. Alright, that's a good point. I think that's one of the main problems with people. I have a hard time taking a risk because they're always looking for. They're always looking for some sort of sign.
Like all of us, I can only. Like for me personally, when I was deciding whether or not to quit my job three months ago, I was always like, secretly just looking for something. What is it? When is it a good time to stop his job? Yeah, four. Oh, like, I was like, like, like hoping one of these, one of my customers would like cuss me out.
Excuse not to do it. Alright.
little stuff like that. Like people just treating me rock record. I have a reason to leave. Right, right. But no, nothing. Usually it doesn't, it's not that simple. It usually doesn't come like that. This is one of those things like, okay, I just gotta just do it now. Just hope it works out. Not hope, but like just work for it. Just keep working into it and make it work yet, right? Yeah.
Right. And I think, one of the things. From your point of view, is that. You at first, you had a perspective of you wanted an outside force to affect the outcome. You know what you want it to be true. But in actuality, it's the internal force inside of you.
That has to make the reality become true. You're not your vision to become true. Okay. You know, and so I think it's just switching your perspective. And then taking action on it, you know, on making. Like slowing down just to move up. I don't know, like. I want you to take on a demand? What are you thinking? I suck at it. So I ain't got no call me ready.
I gotta be honest with you. Like when it comes to taking, like, assessing the risk, that is tough because bro. Looking at those outcomes, get caused you to looking at potential outcomes, the possibilities, like, alright. This cap, and this can happen. This can happen. This can happen. This can happen.
And I could have took that step and it might not be the best. Yeah. That tends to freeze and be alive and quite a few circumstances . So I have a, I struggled with that, so I can't really give no kind of advice on that is that.
That's the crazy part about it is I take a lot of risks, even though I'm always looking at the, the worst thing that could have me.
Yeah, for, for the people that takes less risk than others. I feel like that they fall into, Of a snowball effect of procrastinating and letting stuff, delay, you know, and, and having that happen, it kind of gets you into that. mood of just being as being somebody that just pushed off to the side, you know? Right. And having that, just being, dealt with at a later time, I'm definitely that guy at this moment.
Well, I. I don't know. I mean, For, for people like you and four people, anybody else that, that have a problem of, of knowing what to take a rest , or afraid to take your risks? . , I would say. What are some fears that you may have. That you haven't faced yet? None of them are.
Are founded fears and that there are things that possibly could happen. Like things that.
There's no concrete fear is it's just, it's just a matter of it's just fear itself. Just like, ah, And instead of converting it into excitement and going and doing it. alot of times its just procrastination takes fourth and you ahh. This is a good feeling, and this is comfortable with procrastination. Is it comfortable, environment when you're in, when you're in that like state is a comfortable state. So when you're in that state taking a risk, there's no need to take no risk. There's.
I need to take no action at all. It's comfortable being in the procrastination state. And I think that's what a lot of the problems come in when it comes to risk factors. Cause you're comfortable not taking that risk. yeah your comfortablitiy . Yeah. You're comfortable. You're comfortable being in the position that you're in, even though you might not like it.
You're so used to it, right. so why not
So that's a great point, right? Yeah, I hear you 100%. The thing is like, . Aye. I get you like being comfortable is great. You know, it's because it's your homeostasis and you always sucks. When we start being comfortable is one of the worst enemy of success, bruh. Like it is it's, it's one of those things where it's like, alright, look, because I am comfortable when I am.
Out have no need to move forward. It takes away that need and it takes away down. We want to move forward. The ambition.
Comfortability is something like if there's an enemy to, to taking the risk factor is comfortability. but yeah, it's just, it's, it's not something that you really want to be like, actually you want to be.
And that's the problem, but , if you have a vision to see or be successful, you have to learn how to take risks. You gotta learn how to assess the risk factor and still move, even know. You're comfortable. You gotta put yourself in uncomfortable positions in order, like the risk factor helps you decide, like, all right, look, I know that John would make me extremely uncomfortable.
Right. No, it is. But that's why I grow it.
That's why I become better. That's why I'm prove on who I am. And that's it. Like you said, That's an internal comp us an internal conflict and an internal conversations you have to have with yourself. Right. Cause anything external motivation, external motivation only works for like so long. It only happens for like so long before it's once again, I'd be sick fleeting.
It goes away and then only thing you gotta love is what. Your internal thoughts and directions and things of that nature. So, yeah. I don't know the same system. Yeah. I think that's the main thing when it comes to the point that you brought up through the uncomfortability factor, it's just the unknown for most people, like.
Winter. When they're comfortable with something like go back to my example of a quitting, a job. Another reason I didn't want to do it cause also comfortable that's steady income that I'm going to get. No matter what. Nice. I just gotta do this, this, and I know I'm getting it. If I quit a job, then where's the money gonna come from?
All right. I have like, I have no idea right away where the money's gonna come from. And that scares me. That scares the living daylights out of me. When you, when you know you got this, like you have any store. If you don't have that fear, you have another fear too, but. You can, you know what the fear is? This is one of those,
It's one of those things, the more you, the more you grow it, like it's good to saying, Oh, new levels. New devils. Okay. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So. If you, if you get uncomfortable, you're going to have to face something you're not used to it. You don't know how you'll be able to handle it, handle it. And if you don't, if you don't think you're going to be able to handle it, you don't say it's going to make you feel.
You wanna read the word? She's this, how are we going to feel about yourself? I guess? In a way that can, uplift you, I guess. No, a scary, like, I'm I'm strange. I got a strange light way of viewing things, right. So I have this, like my problem, one of my biggest problems at this point is that.
I'm not afraid. What, and when is going to come at, I'm not afraid or highs in the car, how the money's going to come. I'm not afraid of losing my house, my car or anything because in the back of my mind, I know that regardless on anything that happens. I've been to come up. And that's very dangerous to have that kind of attitude, like, okay, everything's going to go to.
Pieces of writing that I'm Gucci. I just figure it out again and I just come up again. Cause I'm a come up master, you know what I'm saying? I asked you one gift that I have. I will always come back up. So that's, I don't know if anybody else deals with that, but if you have the gift, wouldn't that make it easier to be deal for us.
I feel like that would make it easier. Hey don't cause then, I'm not Learn about the risk factor, but they're , a fear. There's a fear factor to that risk factor. And then there's a fear element to the risk factor. Then there's a nonchalant element to it as well. I'm very nonchalant when it comes down like problems, I'm just like, I might freak out.
Fly five seconds. They'd be like,
Because I know the one thing I do know about myself is I'm extremely resilient. So I will find it. It will come out. We'll figure it out one way or another. When they asked me what, how you going to do it? I figured it out. And that is the truest statement that you give. You ever heard me say that it's a true statement. It's going to happen. I'm going to figure it out. And then that's that.
That's just, but it's a strange, it's a strange light. A part of my personality is a strange street because I know that not everybody has that same thing. Like a lot of people are not nonchalant when it comes down to, being in a fearful situation of possibly losing everything. Like they're rock bottom was not the same as him. I don't have a rock bottom and it will cause already hit mine.
And since I hit that one rock bottom, it's like, Forget what they can go lower. Even went over to get that because at the last second, I'm just going to take off. Like, you know what I'm saying? I procrastinate a lot, a lot. Put in on the same token I come out of nowhere and just come up. Because that's how the world has always worked for me. That's how I, that's how I view the world. That's how it has always played itself out. So nice. Yeah.
The risk factor is just, it's, it's a tough element for me. That's why it's so hard to kind of get into it and, and, and really live on the top because it's like, I, I'm not sure about it. And I'm scared of it at the same time. You don't care and same time. So. I noticed that a lot of people that go through the same thing. So.
You know, like. Yeah, I'm going to have to, I totally disagree. With, I mean, cause I know like.
We have different perspectives, you know? Cause we're different human beings. Yeah. But for me, I look at the sense of way that everything that you want to achieve, everything that we're, we're heading towards. It's going to be uphill. So just imagine if you're trying to climb Mount Everest, you have to know to start climbing uphill.
If you want to fall to the bottom. You don't have to do a lot of work to, to you don't have to do anything at all to be at the bottom, basically. You could slide down Hill. You won't even notice.
No, and no, no, you, you can just let go. And, and you'd be like, alright, I'm downhill. how'd. I get here. You know, but to go up Hill it's like, you have to put work into it constantly. Right? Like you. You, you made it an intentional basically to go uphill, to reach the top of Mount Everest.
It doesn't have to be intentional when you, when you're at the bottom of. It doesn't have to be attention to go to the time he doesn't have intention and attention and consistency or not. it's a twined together. When it comes down to our work, you can, you can like do a split apart work. Come up, I've done it where I've went from, like being completely at the bottom and then like, alright, I need this, this and this. I'm like, alright.
Boom. I take off real quick. I do a quick look, sprit and not come up with the money and then boom, I'm back to just chimney again. But I had like theirs. It's not, but it's not consistent. So although I might reach a certain amount of like, if I'm trying to go up the Hill, I looking at you and figure out, okay, how can we get to the top of that thing to lack of just do it in one, shot it. Cause I'm not going to be.
All day every day. Now I'm behind son trying to get up this Hill. Oh, nah, bro. That's not gonna happen. I'm not going to be doing this every single day. I'm trying to figure out how to get it. If you're going to take me a week and I'm gonna figure out how to get them in. Two days, cause I'm not finna be doing it for the whole week.
But that's Neato. Cause again, I'm a super procrastinator when it comes down to that. So I'm not disappointed. I'm not disagreeing that the fact that it takes work to get to the top. I'm deciding I'm disagreeing with whether or not it takes consistent work. Because I think when we think about consistency, that's every single day, all day constantly, constantly, constantly doing it, but there are a lot of people that we're looking at same with that same.
lay out and be like, alright, I can get it done in this, this and this. Like, I got that ability to look at it and see how can I shorten it? Cause I'm a procrastinator. So I'm trying to figure out the quickest way to sit back there. Amazing when they come out of that, I'm trying to figure out, alright, what's the most strategic way to get this done?
In less than a few weeks, cause I'm not trying to do this out of me. You know what I'm saying? So. That's a good way to use your negative as positive. Just tell me what.
Well, I remember, I remember someone telling me that. There there's like people, people get stuff done. by working. They can either work really smart or they could work really hard. Right, but this is the real successful people they learned to work really hard and work really smart. Yeah. I can see that, you know what I mean? But it's not necessarily consistent, like, like the release it's like, even I'm much. Right. So, would matter of fact, I don't want him to use the amount of months, even though he's one of the richest men in the world. Oh, I, and I won't use, what's the Amazon guy, Jeff.
Jeff Bezos. Okay. Okay. How do you. I don't even remember his success story, but I do remember there was a point where it was like, okay, I want to do this. I need to create this. He finally created Amazon. Right. And then from that point on, what was, what did he do out there, Amazon? He bought, he bought paper. All right, then you pop it.
I honestly don't know. I think, I think he bumpy, but he acquired a whole bunch of different companies, but what he did was create a platform where you didn't have to consistently work all the damn time. You know what I'm saying? It wasn't necessarily to work. Oh, I'm not taking away from consistency, hard work. I'm not taking away from that, but I'm saying there's a, there's a there's.
There's an element of genius when it comes down to shortening the time and, and, and working smart instead of working hard. I don't, I don't think it's necessarily. I don't think it requires both in all the times. I think it requires.
element of each one on at certain times, depending on what you're trying to go in. And with China. But to kill you, it's take all your energy and kill yourself over something that can be done in. Like you want to say I've been on the same thing. He worked at your behind off constantly, constantly, constantly, constantly.
Perfect example, Basketball. It's talking about basketball real quick, right? Okay. Name a guy that, like Kobe Bryant called primer. Every single day, he's considered one of the greats. Right, right. The other, the other guy is, Michael Jordan, just to sit in one of the greatest, he worked his behind off.
LeBron he, where does he had where his mind? I don't know. Cause it was. So much hate. Yeah. Yeah, for sure. I was actually, I can't think I'm trying to think. Who would, who, who, like they got to shack. Check. If you're saying that somebody was like lazy that day went to work all the time or was it consistent?
Cause that guy, he was just a piece of nature just because of the way how it was built. But if you looked at his work. I think it wasn't there. It wasn't as it wasn't his drive. Wasn't there with Cody and he's stealing. He still walked away away. Three.
Yeah, let's play real magic. He played on.
Okay, so no I'm talking about, Oh yeah, that's right.
you. Right? So, but he still ended up with full reins and there's guys, were they behind off consistently, consistently, consistently. And it just. Like, he was just smarter about it. Like he was, he had time granted, but he realized how to utilize his target to get exactly what he wanted. Yeah. that's true. This is that guy.
Cause you also want to do enjoy life. Yeah. Does. He doesn't just want to be all basketball and he may show, as a matter of fact, he was a businessman as well. You know what I'm saying? It wasn't only like behind the scene. He, that dude was.
Oh yeah. All the brands, Jesus, and everybody. We said it was a great, some of the greatest of all times don't have that. Right. Jordan got Jordan, but he doesn't get home. I don't think he ever get that deal. We own it. He don't stress it. You sure. Because I remember for a long time, Nike had a dead, like he.
He owns right. Ear has outright ownership there, Jordan. I'm definitely going to be looking at window. I will be doing research on that. Just so you, yeah, but nonetheless, they, their, business ventures, weren't like he, he utilized his, turning him basketball. Do you use it for other veins? Right?
Being able to use his skill set for other than he had other skillsets and just basketball. But that's just one example of I'm sure. Plenty of other examples where there's guys are more raised than shit that didn't work as hard right there. We ain't gonna talk about the guy that just made it to the bench and got it.
Are you having, are you really going to do is make it to the beach on the championship team and you got a championship money.
That's true. That's all you gotta do. If your goal is to get a championship ring, are you guys. Let's make it to the team and sit on the beach. I'm not sure whether or not a water, it was the town boys. Get it. But if. They get arraigned too. It doesn't require, it requires a certain amount to get to a certain level to get back and achieve that. So I'm just saying it's different routes to it. That's all I'm saying. I'm just saying it's like, it's different routes.
I mean, I mean, how I'm looking at it from your point of view, I kind of look at it like people that bandwagon. You know, hop on, hop on the wave to catch, to, you know, to catch the. The new, the new wave. You know what I mean? What Shaq, wasn't a bandwagon. No, he was, he was a leader himself. Yeah. So are you sending it can't they can't be leaders in that aspect. If they have that same thought process of mine process, they can't, I will.
Me personally, me personally, I wouldn't want to follow a leader who wouldn't want to work as hard and have dedication. So you're not gonna follow shape. If you played on the basketball team, you want to follow a shake shack. I mean, if I'm getting it, if there's a, if there's a fight breakout, I would want him on my side. That's all I'm saying.
No, no, no, no.
all I'm saying. Like as like, like. Being for real here, on a, on a Sears contact. If you're talking about. Having having a leadership role and carrying the team on his back. I would, I wouldn't want to follow the shack. No, he did it.
He didn't carry his team on his back. But him and Colby carried a team. Right. But what I check, how many on raising Cobia here before. Shannon went, Oh, how many? Did he get what he got? Like one or two more after Shaq left. Yeah, we've got two more. He got two months left. Yeah. Shaq had with three Wyndham. Yeah. So when Shaq was dead, he got three Marines. So mostly his range that he got of him caring team by herself.
Was with Shaq. Right. Cause he got three WinShape. Everyone ran that he had aside from the two when Shaq left. And who did he have that came with? COVID did that shit don't know after that. Right? The next time. Yeah.
and. Mainly about this. Well, the second guy. Well, he did a lot of the load night by tomorrow. My point, you Dan, when Shaq went over to what'd you call it, he still, he got with all right. So you got, you got another one, which, Would be weird. Which way. That should've been a wrong or how would they.
Let me just do that. I never really quick. Okay. See, my thing is a chef was very result oriented, right? So you wouldn't want to follow a leader as a result oriented. He's like, all right, this is what we want to do. This is what we want cheap. I'm gonna figure out a way to make it happen. Boom day. Oh, you want a guy? That's going to be like,
I called it was in Bravo, but Colby was also resorted and yeah, but he was embargoed to like, like a lot of them said, like he ain't really to his, he was you looking at Colby, like, all right. He's a great, he's a great leader, but. No argue that point. Cause it's like, yeah. Yeah. You ain't really got nobody else to bow. Like y'all want, could you put up 60 some points at some point you're gay.
But he's also, he was also the main guy he's stays on everybody. Right, but still like you. Panty pass the bar. You wouldn't really, he's the one that got on check and doing those championship. Views and they still want that. Yeah, I'm saying he's the one that again, If they get in shape, no doubt, no doubt, but he's still.
They still want. Check day where they had to do, you will resolve, worrying Zach check day when he had to do made it happen. And then boom. You know what I'm saying? Like check lists that can respect a different than how
Right, because I want to make sure we bring it back to this. Like Shaq was like, alright, this is what I need to do in order to get that boom. Colby is like, Hey man, the phone bless my, my behind day in and day out to stay on myself to stay. We're not going to win. I'm not. Not we not only, I'm not going to get that championship reign there. I'm trying to get, I'm not gonna out past the legend down, tying our past. Right.
Two different mindsets, even though you might be looking at Colby like. Oh man, he's a great leader. Shaq came really a Because, you know, you don't really stand on this thing consistently.
Blood result show otherwise, you know what I'm saying? Like that's what, that's what I mean, like, so I understand what you're disagreeing in that sense. I mean, it was, it was different for a Kobe. He didn't want to leave anything to chance. That's why you work so hard. And, but Shannon didn't leave James.
How do you know what you're doing? Leave it to chance the results today. But in a couple interviews, you said he, he didn't take, he didn't leave things to check. I mean, he didn't leave things to chance cause he knew he Kohle hard. Colby was working. All right. Okay. Great. So he based it off Colby. So with a piece of it, maybe.
No, it's just a part of that was the part of the form. It was like, all right, I'm going to go, we're going to do it, a guy doing this. And I know I got to put up the, this amount right here. So that's his risk though. It's a risk he's, he's trusting. Toby's going to do what we're going to be. The workaholic that he is for free. Doesn't have to work as hard. That's a huge risk when you trusted somebody else like that.
You like, it went like this dude was there.
nonetheless, you're trusting another human. No, I'm not. But in any race, you still don't have to trust you enough trust in another human. At some level, it's going to be at some level it, any, any, any structure that you put together, like we have to trust each other to make it to deploy cash in order to do the burgers. True. Right. We gotta trust that I'm going to come to him and praying what needs to be broad.
Come through and brain or what needs to be brought via was won't show up in brain, whatever needs to be brought. Right. Trust each other. And that, that formula that we have in order for this to see, to actually complete a podcast, we have to depend on each other. And a lot of things. Yeah. You know what I'm saying? So that's a risk factor in that, but Oh, well,
If you don't come through with this and he's right here.
Yeah. If he'll show up and do it. So there's a risk factor and all of that, I'm not taking away from that. I'm just simply saying that, Hey, look, I don't think like when it comes down to risk factors, I think the form was it just different? You know what I'm saying? I think there's more than one formula in order to succeed. When it comes down to respect it.
Cause I don't wanna look at the form in the same way as it has to be. My, you gotta do dog. Doll hard work, like constantly, constantly, constantly kill yourself for this. I'm like, Let me just show up.
Let me just do. I know that this. To acquire. The hardest part for a lot of people just showing up at he is the hardest part for me personally, like getting up and doing it, like the hardest part. Was it harder to just quit? Like when he was talking about to a job, was it hard to just quit the job? Like, because of.
other people or just you like. I want to just do it. Was it harder to just do it? Didn't was to like try and find a reason to do it. It was hard to just to do it. It was harder to just do it like, and most of the time when you're doing work with risk factor, that's what you're looking at. You like.
I think I just need to do it. Yeah. That always ended up being the answer like that. That is true. No matter what that is, you just. You just dump, just go, just go, go, just go in and see what happens. Stevie, Steve Harvey always say he just got a job, man. Yeah. I mean, the guy knows something. You know, nursing my son. Yeah.
Consider the King. And when you consider the King of anything, You, you knew something of myself. Man to understand something about something. Right. And when it's all said and done, I think that's that what. boils down to the difference that was separate. many people when it comes down to the risk factor and we talking about the risk back then.
There's levels to it. Like, but when it's all said and done. If you do not simply go for it, don't matter because for me, that's probably the hardest thing to.
Dude. But when I do do it, It's a wrap. Yeah. You don't know, that's why it's a surprising thing. Why most of us are so scared to take risks, though. They usually does work out. I have to. At least for me personally. Most of the time it works out just fine. It was all just my big imagination going wild for no reason.
When I finally did, I was like, man, that was nothing I didn't do this months ago.
I'm laughing because I know how right. You wise, like, it's one of those things and she's like, Oh, okay. Those were fake. Fears. They weren't even real. And they were constructed fears. Alright. I was a lot of times I say self destruction, paying debts.
You sells advertising. So you literally doing this to yourself, like, do you really want us to see Tony? Yes. No. Okay. And you do all right, Ken, just like throw his ass in the pool that skew them. It. No matter who you want her to swim over to food. Yeah. No common ocean, cause that's kinda messed up.
you know what I mean? That's how my son swim. You want me to pool? That's when my son got over that audio speeds, like how it just like, he would tell me something. Right. Oh yeah. All right, come on. And then I'll put them in a situation where he can take care of, but of course I'm watching, I'm watching it, but like I put them in a situation where it's possible to build in that resilience up.
You know what I mean? Right. So even like, even like for me, like small things, like asking, asking a woman out.
When you finally do, it's like, whatever answer you get. Oh that bad. I'm still alive. Yeah. I really thought to everybody. No big deal. So this is your fears. Go crazy. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So that risk factor it's important because. I mean, cause I feel like once you overcome the fact that you took this risk and it didn't go as bad as plan.
you're able to take more and more risks, you know, as you're going along with life. And I think it's going to put you in a better position. You know, it will put you in a better position because if you're not taking the risks at all, Then what are you doing? You know? Cause like, like Jermaine was saying earlier, you got to get out of that comfort zone.
Right. If you're staying in that comfort zone too long. And, and, and if you're getting real comfortable, You just gotta have problems. I was just going to build up in your life. That's not meant to be there. It's not supposed to be there. So build it up, build it up. Courage and confidence. When you go, want me to come back home? She, is it recording?
And taken a home action or doing anything, even though you might want to just sit and not. Do nothing at all. You have to going to take it a step regardless and doing nothing. It's still taking a step. It's just going to lead you in a way that you probably didn't want to go. Right. You know what I mean? And, but I think like at the same time,
There's I look at, there's a way where you're being intentional on where you want to go. And then there's. Other ways where you love to be attentional at all. Where you just left. at the bottom of the pits or, Oh, well you hit rock bottom for us for all essay, for instance, you know, you don't have to be, you'll have to be intentional to hit rock bottom. It's not a textual at all.
You know, I don't think nobody woke up today. Hey, I'm going to make sure I'm going to do whatever I, whatever I can do to hit rock bottom. It's called giving up. You know,
Ah, Get given up. If you, if you, if you've given up right, you give it up. This.
I can't even speak on that right now. I wouldn't, I couldn't even be able to speak on that.
But I'm saying is that it's possible, but I know people that have just been a slight in no way, forget this. I'm not doing nothing. Or any intentionally do nothing. Like, they don't go for no career. They don't do anything and be like, Hey, something happened and it causes them to just go into a downward spiral.
And. Downward spiral is intentional in that aspect because of how they're looking at their sales and every action that need, like whether you consciously are aware, every action that you do is whatever the goal is in your mind. Your body doesn't do anything without your mind. First. Find the size and what's going to happen. So whichever way you go, it becomes intentional subconsciously.
So you go, if you go downward that's because you're looking at like, this is where I belong. I don't belong with that. You know what I mean? Like, I don't deserve to be able to how many people, you know, they have low self esteem that that's just feel like they don't deserve to have anything good. So they always find a way to.
Right. You don't know about that has always sparked that up. Find a way to really mess yourself up. You got a great job. Are you going to do it? Just go to work and you won't get paid when you Gucci and you're going to get raises and all of that. Right. And then they find a way to mess it up. All you gotta do is go there and breathe, bruh.
That's it brilliant. I say nothing to nobody. You just breathe. And he's still mess it up. My auntie made somehow find a way to mess it up. Congress, we can't screw up, but in all actuality, they successfully going down here. Yes. And it's intentional. It isn't, it's extremely intentional, but it doesn't seem like, like sit down if you ask them, are you, are you like trying to mess yourself up?
Then I haven't been in that room right now. I'm not trying to man, but does it. But subconsciously they are because they feel like this is why I'm really going on. Okay. That's the worst song with successful people. It's the same, it's the same narrative except it's split. Right. And they're like, no, I belong.
Yeah, so. No matter what I do, even if I'm not realizing that I'm doing it. I ended up building myself up to anyways. You know what I mean? Like, but you can't say that unintentional. I'm not what I'm saying is that I'm intentional in the sense of consciously being aware that that's what's going on and there's people that becomes successful in many different mentors, like entrepreneurs that become successful, or some people that just on a date with your sale, something, I was just selling this product. I didn't know it was gonna blow.
You know what I mean? Like, and then all of a sudden, but when you go back and you look in their life, it was always said, no for that. For it to happen. Right. I'm saying like, there's a way to where it leads up to that because in the back of their hand, so consciously they've always thought I should be up there even though working at just nine to five and I'm doing this and doing this.
But what I'm saying. It'll lead to. You know what I mean? So it's when I say, when I say unintentional, what I mean is, Oh, constantly aware that this is the situation. Cause when we thank you attention, we think that it has to be a conscious decision. A lot of times it could be an unconscious decision. And again, it happened and your mind and your body and your actions will lead that way because you're going to go down the path that you paint inside of your head. You shouldn't be on.
That's all what's going to happen, whether it's so for success. And either way, whether you go on to the top of it, some people want to go to heaven and some people know me destined for hair. Mm, and is viewable by that. And they move in that week. Like there's people that have this, and I'm talking, I'm still kind of, I'm still talking about risk factor in a sense, because like, for us the respect, that has to be a conscious thing, but a lot of times it's it subconsciously you already made a decision on what you're gonna do.
Right. If I'm doing, if I'm procrastinating, so consciously, I'm already planning inside of my head, how to beat that obstacle. Right. What I'm saying? Truly consciously. I know, man, I'm not finna do all that, man. I don't want to do all that work. And what's coming out of my mind and out of my mouth was flowing out of my heart.
It's what's sitting in the back of my head or in the back of my heart are deep inside my heart and be beside my mind so well, but how do you want to put it? You know what I'm saying? That's, what's sitting behind her. So when I go to like us, You'll see me, like, start talking about a topic. And then all of a sudden I started going in on top of you. Like what the hell? What the hell did that come from is because it was just sitting inside of it. I had already went back to the markets, had already been sitting. It's always been sitting there. Just a matter of me, finding an outlet to let it out.
Right. You know what I mean? It's the same thing with when, when the risk factor was stood up, I still had his name, like before I came here, there was a respect of saying, Hey look, you don't have like, maybe you shouldn't go because what if you get what, for some reason you get pulled over. Whatever cause you just because you're a black man with.
That's a race. Is there legitimate risks?
No, but, what about, what about if you go out there and then you run out of gas, so you get into an accident or somebody else calling you that you've been trying to, whatever, whatever for a minimal time, there's a lot of other things you could be doing instead of going to a freaking podcast, Brian, doing this podcast, there's a thousand things you could be doing. Those are the sort of obstacles. Those are the steps, but there.
There's still a risk. You know what I mean? I'm still taking a risk every time I come my hand speak anyways. Right. Everything that you sent me, you get to that podcast is something boom. And they ride on you because of. Would have every, all these people in the entire world sit down and listen to your job. And they're like, why is he even talking?
Yeah, that's a risk that I'm taking. It is a conscious unconscious of it. Alright, but you're not like in the back of my mind. I know tonight. No. Information needs to be put out through those keys. They see that it has to be taken care of that. Yeah, all these things I'm thinking. And then, boom. It's there.
Rational thought. Yeah. Wait a second here. Is that irrational thought? Yeah. Those irrational thoughts that I'm thinking the back. Irrational reasons which are risk factors are irrational reasons. Sometimes the rational are they seeing rational at the time, but they can still prevent you from achieving your goal. You know what I mean? So,
Even though those it up in the back of my mind, I always knew I had to get up and go and do it. Hmm. I knew when it was all said and done, I still, I still need to be there. I sit there and make that happen. These Google, depending on me, to help him with this podcast as well. Like, it's not just my podcast. Is there a podcast as well? It's not just theirs is mine as well. Right. We try to make something happen. We tried to, in order to make that happen, what do we have to do? We've got to show up. Yeah. Even though there's a thousand things.
Like. Yeah. That's the risk roles like you live in every single day when we have, when you come to a situation where am I can't show up for their partners, because I need to take care of this, this, this, and this and this and this, or. Right. Yeah. I 100% get what you're coming from. What comes in my head when, when we're talking about what their risk factor here.
with all of these, reasonings and all these obstacles that come in our way, I kind of base it down to like it's fear. And I break it down to even more to put it down into an acronym as in false evidence appearing real. So it's basically on your perspective of what, of, what you looking at. You're.
What you looking at? What fear is to you? You know, Cause a fear. It could be a very good thing for some people, a few, it could be a very bad thing. Credential metal, you know, first of all, people. And how I'm looking at, how I look at fear is I don't think it's, it's real at all. You know, for, for my risks that I'm taking. I don't think it's a big risk that most people would think of a, of a risk that, that, that.
could be, you know, Because. The outcome. I am certain for a fat. That my outcome will be a positive one. And there'll be one down will make a difference, you know, a great impact. Maybe not in my life, but in other people's lives. Yeah. And I think that's the whole goal.
That's it.
What I'm not going to talk about how you just said that fear is not real. I'm not gonna have that conversation. And it's always, it's false evidence appearing real now, as much as I might to agree with that, The acronym. I have a problem with it because that's not always true. It's not always false evidence. Cause sometimes it's true. It's, it's, that's a real, that's a real problem. That's a real robot. It's a real, the fear is there because that is an unsafe situation. It could be an unsafe city.
There it is possible for things to come up at. Okay. I'm really taking a risk, like move. Talk about slavery for a second. I just want to just arrest maybe like when they ran because they wanted freedom, but freedom was, was a great outcome. Yeah, absolutely. It could be a great interview. A great thing. If I can get.
To the other side and become a free man. But the risks were real. You, life is in jeopardy. You know what I'm saying? There's a lot of times where that's the situation where an athlete that might have a heart problem, still pushing yourself to the max there's high risk that you might not make it back from that practice.
That's a real risk. That's a real fear. Even though he might still overcome it. But it's a real fear. That sound so I agree. I understand what you're saying. I'm saying, what are you going at with it? But I want to make it clear that there are times where the risk factor is a real race is a real feat. Like you shouldn't be afraid. Like here's another thing.
To, to go out to success without fear. It's a problem. Like they have no fear at all as a problem. And. I'm not going to go in like deep into not having fear and how that is a real problem for, becoming successful. Cause it leads back to self sabotage. I'm not going to go into that cause that's a whole nother podcast, but.
Again, how do you motivate yourself to do things, but over here, Is another thing.
Like same way, same way. Like we, we used this example for when you're playing, playing a game. And you're in your trail. And if you don't have the fear that you're at times were enough, like what's. Where's the sense of urgency.
That's it's like the example that you, the example that you had, You didn't really give the example, but I remember us having a conversation on a podcast was talking about, I forget exactly what we're talking about, but I was explaining how like, everybody else is on the opposite enemy as far as, Oh, it was winning and losing that then how did it go? And I've been afraid to win, being afraid to lose, not wondering, Hey.
Hey. Hey Tollu. Yeah. And I was like, well, I don't. I don't really see neither one of them really. Right. I didn't see my end goal and not just ain't for that. And everything else is a step to get there. Correct. You know what I mean? Like that has that same, but. I wasn't saying that I'm not a foe.
Oh, it's hard. I don't want to go in today. I'm not going to sleep cause that's, that's going to be a whole nother podcast as well. Anyways. Okay. Yeah.
Yep. It's way tomorrow. Yeah, 46 minutes.
Well that.
