Forgiveness

I. Unforgiveness & our relationship w/ Jesus

A. The relationship is possible because of forgiveness that He paid for

1. Sin separates us - Is. 59:12

2. Jesus the sacrifice for all sins - Hebrews 10:12

B. He asks us to forgive – Matt. 6:12-15

1. Forgiveness is part of loving people as Christ loves us – John 13:34

2. Forgiving others goes hand in hand with our forgiveness

II. When we have to forgive over & over again – Mt 18:21-22 & Gen 4:23-24

III. When we have to forgive that huge awful thing

A. Unforgiveness hurts us more than the person who wronged us

B. A bitter root- Eph. 4:31-32

C. Boundaries- Prov. 4:23, David & Saul

IV. When we have to forgive ourselves

V. When we have to forgive God (offended)- Matt.11:6
