This week we are joined by Magie Cook Garcia. She is a business success strategist, keynote speaker, author and Nobel Prize Winner. Magie is an immigrant who was born in an orphanage in Mexico and grew up with 68 siblings. As an accomplished athlete, she was recruited to play basketball for the Mexican National Team but unfortunately broke her collarbone. She later immigrated to the US on a basketball scholarship to the University of Charleston. After graduating, she became homeless. During that time she entered a fresh salsa competition for the State of West Virginia and won unanimously. This is when Maggie's All-Natural Fresh Salsa's & Dips was created with just $800. The company then grew to distribute products across 38 states to all major supermarkets such as Wal-Mart, Sam's Club, Whole Foods. In 2015, Maggie's sold to The Campbell's Soup Company.
