In episode we chat with, Nicola, a mother of 2 beautiful little wildlings, an 8 year old daughter and a 5 year old son. Her first son was born early at 25 weeks gestation which thrust us into a journey she never expected to take. We discuss the challenges of having a baby in the NICU, the struggle of navigating the hospital system as a more naturally minded mama and the absolute miraculous strength of these early babies and how their will to survive shapes their future. Nicola also shares lots of other experiences and insights than many prem mamas will relate to, including the guilt that can be experienced, and adapting to life with a baby after a NICU experience where ultimately you had little control over what you could do for and with your baby.
