In any of our planning, be it a trip to somewhere, or organizing a gathering, playing British Bulldog, making a cake, or creating an epic work of art, we have invariably come up against the question: So…how do I get from here to there? And as with any of us the manner in which we answer that question pretty much runs the gamut. We improvise, some say - or we’ll rely on past experience, says another. Or let’s just follow the manual, or why worry, let’s leave it open to wonder and the gods. Why bother? is sometimes offered. And then there are those who map it all out in such meticulously detail that the trip itself feels like it has already happened before we’ve even put the key into the ignition. It’s all about following a plan - any deviation and the whole experience is deemed a disaster. -
