• After months of unrest marked by violent protests and a brutal government crackdown, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has hinted that he may finally step down to make way for a new government. The president made the announcement after a visit by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
• The British auto industry has escalated concerns with the possibility of a no Brexit deal once Britain exits the European Union on December 31st. The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders has predicted in a report that British car production could drop below one million cars a year, and with increased tariffs, the British auto industry may be looking at losses of up to 55 billion pounds.
