Imagine you run an airline. You’ve somehow survived the pandemic. You’re prepping for what promises to be a very busy travel season. You have a route to Hawaii that banks you serious cash. But you have to cancel all your flights there this year.

This summer, airlines will pay for it big time. But no business is immune to these challenges. People ops is essential to the operation of any business. It’s time for the function to be integrated into the organization with the same rigor as the rest of the operations function.
