When I first started out on my journey, I resigned from my part-time position in ministry to stay at home with my children and pursue writing and speaking as a career. This lasted a few years, but because of increasing expenses for our children, I took on the responsibility of contributing to our household financially and became a virtual assistant. Being a VA is a rewarding and wonderful career for me, and I plan to continue in it for years to come. As a result of this success, I felt led to share with other women how they too could contribute financially to their households by becoming a virtual assistant.
This led me to create a course, the Become a Virtual Assistant course; a podcast, The Virtual Assistant Advantage podcast; and a free Facebook group by the same name. I have poured myself into this community for the last twelve years. It has been a huge part of my life.
Unfortunately, this has also prevented me from pursuing my goals of writing and speaking as much as I would like, and ultimately I still feel a very strong call upon my life to write and speak. Recently, God revealed to me a path to take in order to make this a reality in my life once again, but it involves stepping away from the virtual assistant training community that I have built. This has not been an easy decision to make. I have met so many amazing women during the past 12 years, and I have been able to watch many of you start and grow your own virtual assistant businesses. This has been a tremendous blessing in my life.
As of April 1, 2023, I will be stepping away from this community to focus on writing and speaking more. I will also continue to serve the authors, speakers, and coaches to whom I provide virtual assistant services. That part of my business will not change.
Because I don’t want to leave you without resources, I wanted to point you to a couple of my favorites and remind you that I have written a book, FaithLeaps: The Christian Mom’s Guide to Starting a Virtual Assistant Business, that you can grab as a resource as well.
A wonderful resource that I used when I first got started as a Virtual Assistant is VANetworking, with the amazing Tawyna Sutherland. She has always been a wonderful resource and mentor to me and I highly recommend her programs.
Also, I would love to keep in touch with you. You can follow me on my new author Instagram account or my author Facebook page.
I wish you the very best and hope that you will keep in touch. Blessings to you.
