Dr. Daniele Cocco is a Staff Scientist at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in the US. His research focuses on studying the sensors and instrumentation used in X-ray optics, a specialised field that studies the technologies used to observe the behaviour of X-ray light.
This is an interview of Dr. Cocco's thoughts on the many applications of X-ray optics (including imaging and scanning technology in healthcare) and the challenges still left in developing technology in this field. To learn more about the field, please visit: www.cxro.lbl.gov
