Today’s sacrifice was all about a substitution for atonement. For God’s people, it was the sacrifice of an animal, in a specific way and place. It was a burdensome process. But, as Pastor Daniel explained today, it is truly an amazing gift that Jesus has been given to us as the eternal sacrifice. God takes our failings, and that’s hugely comforting as we reflect on the fact that He knows every one. Despite that, He is willing to perfect us through sacrifice.
