Sappho is a Calgary-born, Toronto-based sci-pop performer/producer. She expresses her passion for the intersection of art and technology by writing high-concept, futurist pop music. Her album Time Machine (released 2020/01/10) explores classic science fiction topics such as mind uploading and extraterrestrial life, prompting listeners to groove and think at the same time. Although sci-fi traditionally speculates on impossible technology, Sappho integrates 360 film, binaural audio, and procedurally generative visuals into her performances and music videos.
