This episode of the Take Your Apprenticeship podcast is the fourth in our series focusing on apprenticeship opportunities in healthcare in the East of England.

It features a conversation with Diane Last (Clinical Education Lead) and Julia Wood (Deputy Clinical Education Lead) from West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust in Bury St Edmund’s.

Our HE Champion Tiff Evripidou interviewed Diane and Julia remotely during July 2020 and they covered some of the following areas:

• The different apprenticeships that the trust offers. • Why the NHS use apprenticeships to train their staff. • The type of support an apprentice is offered from both the hospital and their training provider. • How an apprentice would split their time between the training provider and placement in the hospital.
