Real Talk:
Doing "the work" is not sitting in front of your computer, laptop or phone all day long.
Doing "the work" does not mean letting your clothes and dishes pile up, creating clutter.
Doing "the work" does not mean neglecting your self care and turning what could be or used to be that 30 minutes of exercise or physical care into an extra 30 minutes to answer an email.
Doing "the work" does not mean letting your significant other sit in the living room by themselves so you can get a few more posts out on social media
Doing "the work" does not mean plopping on cartoons for the kids all day long so you can "focus"
Doing "the work" does not mean grinding it out, burning the midnight oil, or getting up early to work and forgetting your time with the Lord, your meditation, your reading, your time for learning and silence.
So if doing "the work" doesn't mean any of this, then what does doing "the work" mean?
xoxo-
Meg
