Brian “Ponch” Rivera is the co-creator of The Flow System™, founder and CEO of AGLX Consulting, co-founder, and co-owner of AGLX Holdings, and a founding member of The Flow Consortium. He is an Amazon International Best-Selling author, TEDx Speaker, and Agile conference speaker. He is the co-creator of High-Performance Teaming and the creator of ZONEFIVE—a behavioral marker system that objectively measures team effectiveness. “Ponch,” his callsign from naval aviation, served on active duty for 16 years before transferring to the Navy Reserve and now wears the rank of Captain (O-6) as a part-time member of the Defense Innovation Unit (DIU). As an entrepreneur, “Ponch” leverages the leadership, teamwork, and complexity thinking lessons he learned throughout his diverse military career to help individuals and organizations create the agility, resilience, and safety they need to survive and thrive in this turbulent world. As an external consultant, he is currently supporting Chevron in teaming, agile, strategy, safety, lean, and leadership initiatives. His previous internal capability building experience includes support to Toyota, Pfizer, Church and Dwight, Humana, and several financial services organizations. He is an avid options trader and is currently involved in an upcoming mental health documentary that features his work on flow and human performance. “Ponch” lives in Virginia Beach, Virginia with his wife, Allison and two daughters, Carmen and Camille.
