In sports, one of the worst things that could happen is to fall behind. In life, it will take a herculean effort to build a successful life on a fragile foundation. Therefore, parents must do all they can to set their kids up for success by starting them off on a solid foundation. And that's where the Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters (HIPPY) comes in. Through its technical assistance center, HIPPY helps parents develop the necessary skills to get their youngsters ready for academic success.

In this week's episode of All Things Nonprofit, we speak with Dr. Tracy Payne, the director of HIPPY's Technical Assistance Center. In our interview, Dr. Payne brings us up to speed with the work of HIPPY and how the organization puts parents in the best possible position to get their youngsters ready for preschool.
