Join Wednesday Volunteers, for a longer than usual chat - about Scientists who were not recoginised in their own time, or suffered for their discoveries.
The conversation starts with a Short-Talk presentation on Galileo, moves on to the life and work of Alan Turing before digging into the story behind the Bleriot 11. We closed out with a broader discussion about how different social contexts, influence who might recieve the credit for scientific insights and discoveries - the genius who had the idea, or the investor who bankrolled the idea into existence?
This was a really interesting discussion; we hope you enjoy it as much as we did.
