Almost from the day that the book of Revelation was written people have been trying to surmise the identity of the Antichrist. As a result many well meaning Bible students have been left red-faced and discredited. What we as Christians should do is to be mindful of the characteristics of the Antichrist so when he does come on the scene, he is recognized for who he is.
We often than God for what we received but sometimes we need to thank God for what we didn't get. And because He loved us so much that he didn't give us what we deserved.
Christendom is just beginning the see the initial stages of the last days purge of the church. As Pastor David Wilkerson predicted in a sermon in 1977, the ingathering of those days has now morphed into a severing of the wheat from the tares. The Lord is coming back for a spotless church, without spot or wrinkle. As such God is starting a time of cleaning the church from carnality and sin. As the true church is once again turning to holiness, the apostate church is embracing a liberal doctrine of inclusion and faith only living.
