Merib-baal had a great start in life, but when he was young life took a turn for the worse. Later, in 2 Samuel 9, when we see him again he has a new moniker that means "searing disgrace" and he lives in Lo-Debar (or a place we don't talk about.) But David, who has been blessed by God is seeking to bless him for his father, Jonathon's sake.
