Jonah didn’t want to go to Nineveh despite God’s pleading and direction. And even after Nineveh turned to God, Jonah was still angry. Jonah didn’t want God to go there. In today’s sermon, we explore the idea that we all have Nineveh’s in our lives that we don’t want God to touch. How do we let God in to those places and what does God promise us if we do? The sermon is based on the appointed readings for today: Jonah 3:1-5, 10 and Mark 1:14-20. The sermon was recorded at Church of the Annunciation.
