Growing up in a family of entrepreneurs, Ashley knew that she didn't want to be one. She graduated nursing school in 2009 and specialized in maternity and public health soon after. All was going according to plan until a surprise third pregnancy turned out to be twins and she was over her head. Having entrepreneurship in her DNA, seeing the needs of families in her line of work and within her own friendships, she knew she had to create a solution to help communities come together and help each other. With no technology background, she set on a omission to build the Village APP.
