Today we talk with surfer and lifeguard Jason Shook overlooking San Elijo Campground in Encinitas. Jason talks about growing up in Seal Beach and walking to the beach to surf at the young age of 6 with his friend Marty Thomas. He tells us how his job lifeguarding brought him to north county, San Diego, and how it has kept him close to the ocean. Jason talks about the Encinitas Boardriders Club and how it was started. As a team rider for Quiksilver and Sanuk he talks about how he has built and maintained these relationships going on 35 years. Are there that many sharks out in the water? Find out! @shookyx4
