Emotional root beneath alcoholism. We all have our own life lessons, for many overcoming addictions can be lifelong, and Co-dependency lies beneath addictions. I suffered from co-dependency, and healing to become independent and interdependent was the most freeing gift. Not an easy road but we must allow ourselves to feel in order to heal and take personal responsibility for our choices.
