Would: Desire or inclination (would+verb 1st form)

Examples:

· I'd love to live in India.

· Would you like some coffee?

· What I'd really like is ice-cream.

Would: Polite requests and questions (would+verb 1st form)

Examples:

· Would you give me a glass of water, please? (more polite than: give me a

glass of water, please.) 

· Would you come with me? (more polite than: Will you come with me?)

Would: Opinion or hope (would+verb 1st form)

Examples:

· I suppose some people would admire it.

· Since you ask me I'd say the red one is best.

· I would love to fly.

· I would have to agree. ·

Would: Wish (would+verb 1st form)

Use would with wish when you expect a change in current situation

Example:

· I wish it would rain today (there is no sign of clouds still you expect rain)
