On this episode, we've joined with Shea Gardner to about Covid-19, her 100 hour Silent Meditation retreat, and how cultivating a meditation practice can help us navigate times of uncertainty.  Shea is a partner and mother of 2 living on the southside of Chicago with her family. She is an RYT 200 and Trauma Informed Instructor, Youth Worker, Writer, Artist, and co-founder of Maroon Village (501c3). Shea holds space for beings of all ages and backgrounds. After recognizing the healing and transformation of her own traumas taking place in her life both on and off her yoga mat, from relationships to life decisions, she knew there was something special about the practice of connecting mind, body, and spirit and wanted to share it with her communities. Through a balance of breathwork, meditation, and movement, Shea weaves in self study in a down to earth practical way. Shea hopes students leave her classes feeling more empowered and equipped to find peace in being themselves in the present moment.  You can find more about Shea on her Instagram handle @hippiebumpeace, her non-profit @maroon_village , as well as her blog sheagardneryoga.com If you're interested in doing a silent meditation retreat yourself, check out https://www.dhamma.org/
