Most people are aware of climate change - whether they believe it poses a threat is another question. For this episode, I spoke with Alexander Verbeek who broke down the issue of climate security. Alexander is a dutch environmentalist, the founder of the Institute for Planetary Security, a former diplomat, and a public speaker who has spent many years working on issues relating to security and the climate crisis. He is also the policy director at the environment and development resource centre in Brussels.
We discuss how the security threat of climate change will evolve in next decade or so, how climate and security intersect, as well as what we can do to feel just a little bit of hope in these dark times.
