With Father's Day around the corner, we decided to host a special show for fathers, entitled: "Fathers, Stand Up and Stop Being Shown Up".

It was a frank discussion between our two men of God: Pastor Randy Lightbourne of Beacons for Christ of the UK and Rev. Stephen Trott of Shekinah Worship Centre.  We delved into some hard hitting questions such as:

1. Why is it so important for the husband to assume the role of spiritual leader in his family?
   2.  Does the Bible have any relevancy in today's family?  Are these values/principles "old fashioned"?
2. How can a young learn  these values/principles when his own father has been absent?
3. What does Christian leadership look like? What attributes/characteristics should a Christian male leader have?

These are only some of the questions we raised.  In fact, it was such a dynamic show, we are going to host a  Part 2.   Again, it was a  candid discussion of what happens when men don't stand up and sadly, how this  impacts the nucleus of the family, children, communities, etc.
