Journaling Questions:

· Do you questions is God good?

· Are you tempted to think it was something good in you that allows you to have relationship with God? Look at Romans 9.

· Do you think that you deserve God’s compassion?

· Does this freedom from actions tempt you to disregard following God?

· Matthew 20- does it seem unfair that those who don’t work as long get the same reward? Are you wanting God to be fair? What does fair look like according to Romans 6:23?

· How does this truth “God will have mercy on some” relate to our call to obedience?

· What are some examples of God’s compassion and mercy in your life?

· Do you see the law as a Father telling us what is good for us and how to seek him in relationship? Look at Nehemiah 9:11-15

· What would God treating you according to your sin look like? What scripture supports this?
