Essential to being a wise man is teachability, correctability and humility. He is a life-long learner. A lone ranger he is not, because he understands and is humble enough to recognize that he does not know everything… he doesn’t see everything… he doesn’t hear everything… he doesn’t discern everything. Another distinguishing characteristic of his is that he has the reigns of his tongue and exhibits self-control. He accepts that wisdom is the principal thing and when he hears the Word, he does it.
