Dr. Maya Shankar is one of the most accomplished people ever to join the show.

She hosts the incredible Pushkin podcast, A Slight Change of Plans, which tells the stories of people making major changes in their lives, and has featured guests including Tiffany Haddish, Hillary Clinton, Kasey Musgraves, and a ton of fascinating people.

It's a topic that Dr. Shanker knows a lot about. She currently works as a Senior Director of Behavioral Economics at Google and holds a postdoctoral fellowship in cognitive neuroscience at Stanford, a Ph.D. from Oxford on a Rhodes Scholarship, and a degree from Yale.

She also served as a Senior Advisor in the Obama White House, where she founded and served as Chair of the White House Behavioral Science Team and served as the first Behavioral Science Advisor to the United Nations under Ban Ki-moon.
