Despite God’s warnings to them, over and over again, His people would continue to turn away from Him and worship idols.  He would patiently and repeatedly warn them and suffered long with his people in sin.  However, as Pastor John explains today, God eventually issued judgment against his people’s sin.  He used an unlikely instrument in his judgment.  God used Babylon to send forth the consequences they deserved.  To use pagans in this way demonstrates God’s absolute power and sovereignty in the world.
