There are a variety of terms and names used in the church, and many of them have similar meanings. These roles that are filled by leadership have Biblically defined duties, however. Pastor John will be warning you in today’s message to be leery of those who try to claim more authority than they should have. He’ll also remind you that every church leader is also a follower – they answer to Jesus! Christ is the ultimate pastor of the church, and everyone should look to Him first and foremost for guidance!
