When something is lost it causes great distress, yet finding it brings incredible joy. The self-righteous Pharisees and teachers of the Law did not care about lost people. But God cares about those who have gone astray in life and He is always ready to forgive. In our story today, we hear about a man who had two sons, both prodigals in their own way. The younger son was selfish and wasted his inheritance. God allowed him to go his own way. His selfishness and sin resulted in emptiness. Finally, the son comes to himself and sees his true condition. Let’s join Pastor John now as he continues this parable with the message called The Prodigal Father.
