God is holy, and sin is detestable to Him. Leviticus chapter 11 speaks of God’s commandment for his people. It says, "'For I am the LORD who brings you up out of the land of Egypt, to be your God. You shall therefore be holy, for I am holy." Today in our study of Deuteronomy we learn about severe measures that God required to eradicate sin.
