We begin our survey of chapter 12 today. Here, Moses expands on the Ten Commandments with detailed stipulations of the law. Having presented the covenant, he now moves to the application of these standards in everyday life.

While the people were settling in their new land, God said He would establish a place for worship. They would no longer do whatever was right in their own eyes.
