As Christians, we are dead to sin and alive to God. Today we begin the section in Romans that speaks of sanctification. This word means “to be set apart.” Beginning in Romans chapter 6, we read, "What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it?" In this chapter, Paul will explain about the relationship of a believer and sin; he says, we are to be dead to it!
