Throughout scripture, the illustration of the shepherd and his sheep is used to portray the relationship of God and His people. Sheep are not very wise animals…they cannot survive without a shepherd. Comparatively, we can be stubborn, and “go our own way.” But, the Bible says that Lord, our Shepherd, will guide us.
