12-year-old Ashley Pond vanished as she walked to the bus stop on the morning of January 9th 2002, leaving law enforcement to speculate that she may have just run away. But when her best friend 13-year-old Miranda Gaddis disappeared two months later while walking to the same bus stop, it became clear that evil was lurking in their neighborhood.
