In our final episode of season 1, we’re talking all things romance, dating and relationships. When we entered the first lockdown in 2020, many parts of our lives moved online. While the days of zoom quizzes seem to be over (thankfully) some online activities seem to be here to stay, like online dating. While many used apps like Hinge, Tinder and Bumble before the pandemic, the lockdown has accelerated the usage of online dating sites, with messaging on Tinder increasing by 52% globally between March and April 2020. What’s the good, the bad, the ugly, and the reality of online dating? Is it realistic to try and find a significant other by traditional means, or is dating online simply a necessary evil we all need to get on board with?
