On April 23, 2026, the Prescott Valley Police Department (PVPD) officially launched the Dog Walker Watch program with eleven participants. This program brings together members of the dog walking community with a common goal: preserve the quality of life for Prescott Valley residents.

The expectation is that while participants are out walking their dogs, they will contact PVPD to report graffiti, unsafe conditions, or other issues that may be of concern. It takes the idea of neighborhood watch, changes the idea of neighborhood and gives it feet. The added benefit is this is just another way that PVPD can connect with its citizens in a fun environment over a shared love of dogs and community.

The next quarterly meeting is on August 12, 2026, at 1pm at the Prescott Valley Police Department (7601 E Skoog Blvd). New members are invited to sign up, and there will be light refreshments and a guest speaker.
