A Fourth of July weekend at his grandparents' place turned into the day 14-year-old Jory Thomas became a hero, using nothing but a rope and a lifetime of ranch-kid instincts. Thomas was staying with family along the Yellowstone River near Greycliff, Montana, when he heard someone screaming for help.
