This week's questions: #1 Can you discuss how believers and “nonbelievers'' interact in all of GEBC’s programming? Helping people follow Jesus is core but does it look different for different folks? #2 When you said the words “holy huddle” this morning, I knew immediately that’s what I grew up in. Growing up, church was always the place where we huddled up, which is good. We tried to support and encourage one another, but it turned into talking about the “unholy masses.” While I got caught up in it like everyone else, I also hated it, because it wasn’t compassionate. I guess my question is, how do we avoid that at GEBC? I want to be in a church that really lives out restoration by showing compassion. #3 If God is an extreme “keeper,” what are we to make of Romans 1? In Romans 1, it says at least three times that “God gave them over.” What does that mean? Does God reach a point where he gives up on people? #4 I’m thankful God is a “keeper,” restoring us, but does that mean God’s people can never quit a relationship? I know that we are to be like God, but it seems unrealistic to say that we can never quit a relationship. #5 I really liked the idea of being restored myself and in helping others be restored. Where does that actually happen in the church?
