In today's world the knowledge of demons and the belief in their existence is suspect. In today's sermon Fr. Paul expounds on the Gospel lesson taken from Matthew 8:28-34;9:1 on this the 5th Sunday of Matthew. Jesus is confronted with two demon possessed men who recognize His divinity and are cast out into a herd of swine into water, which is symbolic of Baptism. We who have been Baptized into the Orthodox Church must recognize that satan and his demons have been renounced. To gain victory over the demons we must confess Christ and live for Him.
