Samuel Cremers hit and killed an off-duty firefighter New Years Eve on the Beltline in Madison. The weather was bad and the firefighter was helping another driver in distress. Police took Cremers blood test after the 3 hour window and now they are charging him with knowingly operating a motor vehicle while suspended and causing death. Is this a trumped up charge?
