When senseless violence strikes in our community, there is an organization that reaches out to those who are left to grieve the loss of a loved one. Mothers Against Gun Violence is an organization that helps those left behind navigate through their tragic situation, lends a helping hand, and provides a shoulder to cry on. The individuals in this organization have experienced the pain of losing a loved one to senseless violence and are willing to help those who find themselves in a similar situation. Lepa Jones is the president of Mothers Against Gun Violence. She spoke with me about the organization and the annual vigil that will take place on Sunday August 12th from 7 to 9 pm in Clinton Sq. in Syracuse.
