Proverbs 1:5 says, "A wise man will hear and increase learning, and a man of understanding will attain wise counsel."

In 2 Timothy 2:15, the Apostle Paul exhorted a younger believer to study and know the Word of God so he could have the strength to withstand the false reasonings sent to subvert his faith. We would do well to listen to this advice today.

We cannot live a victorious Christian life on emotions or even on other people's opinions about what God has said or is saying. We must study and know His words for ourselves. It s sad to say, but many people in the church today no longer faithfully read their Bibles. I fear for their future. Let's pray for them.
