A funnel cloud touched down in Barrhaven just after lunchtime. It tore up trees, damaged roofs, and knocked out power. Rio-Can resident Robyn McKee says her son rushed out of his room as the twister rampaged through the adjacent neighbourhoods. Thankfully, the family home avoided extreme damage. She joins us in Hour 2. Peter Hansen lives on Tartan Drive and also got lucky. However, as he heads up the road, other homes and businesses aren’t breathing a similar sigh of relief.
