At this time of year, it is almost impossible to enjoy your backyard or patio. That is largely due to one pesky insect: Wasps. But in September, they really love to come out and play. Why do they become so aggressive right before the Fall temperatures roll in? Kristy Cameron chats with Rosalind Murray, an Assistant Professor of Biology at the University of Toronto. Meantime, the union representing OC Transpo bus drivers has sparked a ton of conversation today. ATU Local 279 President Clint Crabtree called on every single bus driver to ditch their work uniform, a form of protest against what the union describes as a ‘toxic work environment’. Crabtree joins the show in Hour 2. Plus, as the leaves start to fall in Barrhaven, numerous sidewalks are crumbling. Some have been overtaken by large patches of weeds. A new pilot project hopes to change that.
