After His resurrection, Jesus had instructed his disciples to go to Jerusalem; instead Peter and six other disciples went back to fishing, their old trade. But Jesus came along the shore; and when He told them to let down their nets on the right side of the boat, immediately they had a huge catch. Then the disciples recognized that it was Jesus and went ashore. As Jesus was fixing breakfast for them, He confronted Peter. It's an important moment that speaks to all of us about Jesus' compassion on every sinner.

He is Risen! What an amazing conclusion to the story! But that’s not the end, it’s quite the opposite, it’s the beginning. It’s the beginning of all of our story, for without Christ’s death and resurrection, our lives would be lost. But with His sacrifice, we have that Great Hope in a future in heaven with Him! Praise God! He is Risen! He is Risen Indeed!
Our Easter reading from the Schlimmer family covers the burial of Jesus. May this be a blessing to you!
Today we will focus our attention on the redemptive work of Christ when He was lifted up and crucified upon that old rugged Roman cross. His willingness to do this for us has been the most important fact of the whole of Scripture. The purpose of the Cross led to the incredible spread of the Christian faith during the first few centuries. And that message still stirs hearts today. May your heart be touched by the deep love our Savior and Lord has for you.
As we enter into this Easter weekend, we are blessed to have the Baltodano Family bring us the scripture reading of that final day of Christ's life. Can you imagine what all who loved and followed Jesus thought as they saw him give up his life on the cross? How frightened and uncertain they must have been. I'm sure the next 72 hours didn't make sense, couldn't be accepted, and left so many feeling lost. Thank goodness we know that Sunday is Coming! And oh, how the story changed!! Thank you Baltodanos for all your help in this reading and for blessing us as we walk through the last week of Christ's life.
As we reach the end of the week, and look towards the weekend we want to remind you all that a cheerful heart can bring joy to your life. So spend today remembering to laugh, love and find a little humor to share!

In Isaiah we find encouragement that the Lord will never leave, that He will be with us through difficult times, He will be our strength when we struggle to get by. What a wonderful reassurance, that we are not alone in this current pandemic, but that our God is walking through each day with each of us. Let us rely upon Him, as we make this journey, unfamiliar of where we will end up, but confident that with Christ we will make it through with success! We are in this together, and God is in it with us.
Today we have Rita and Michael Prosser bringing our special Easter reading. What a fitting testimony for today as we find shared in John. "Now my soul is troubled, and what shall I say? 'Father save me from this hour'? No!...Father glorify your name!" Can we follow Christ's example and glorify God during this troubling hour we are in right here and right now? Can we trust that He has a purpose for us, and therefore, no matter what we face, "Father, glorify your name!" Be blessed and thank you Rita and Michael!

While the crucifixion was scandalous to others, to the early Christians it was the symbol of God's love to mankind. It was proof that God desired to bring all who looked upon Jesus for salvation back to the Promised Land. Let's see how the early believers were able to understand this revolutionary moment of the cross in light of the words of the Old Testament. (Sermon @ 21:43.)

Christ has instructed us to love one another. How can we share that message today? By simply helping our neighbor during these troubled times. May you find ways to be that shining light to others, and provide a blessing to one another.
Sometimes, as we face adversity and challenges we question “Why God?” when in fact we need to lean into the idea of “I trust you God, even when I don’t understand.” So we challenge you today to trust in God and His plan for you, and no matter your circumstance know that He has a plan for you.
Even when it seems overwhelming at times, we know that we will get through this event together. We encourage you to find ways to help one another, which in turn, changes our focus to others instead of ourselves and helps move us through this process together. Be blessed and be a blessing to others.
How has the current environment forced us to push beyond our comfort and find new ways to touch the lives of others in God's name? As we seek scripture we find comfort in the reading of the Beatitudes. We pray this brings you peace and comfort today as well.
What praises are you singing this week, to help calm the soul? We would love to know so we can share in the blessing. Maybe check out Psalm 117, it’s a short one but packed full of restoration!
As we near Easter time, Christians primarily focus upon the sacrifice of Jesus. What happened so long ago was truly a scandal. Crucifixion was used mostly on rebels as a means to get unquestioned obedience from those who witnessed the death. It was a powerful deterrent. But the early believers welcomed the message of Jesus' death on the cross. This week we will look at why Jesus' cross was a scandal. And then in the next few weeks, we'll see why the cross is so crucially important. (Sermon @ 22:24.)
Don’t allow the religious laws to push you away from the direct path of salvation that is found simply by accepting Jesus.

In the 13th chapter of Hebrews, all believers are called upon to stand firm in their faith in Jesus through difficult times. And now we are faced with some very serious issues related to the COVID-19 pandemic. Let's take the words of this final chapter most seriously as we move forward in Him. (Sermon @ 22:15.)
God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. What a wonderful reminder that in a time of trouble, our Heavenly Father is an ever-present help! Be still, do not fear, and know that I am God.
May the spirit of God surround you and your family and protect you today and always. May you find peace in know that God is with you.
Today let us focus on how we can create ways to help those around us. It doesn’t have to be grand gestures, but perhaps sharing some of the supplies we have with a neighbor or friend that might be struggling to find something in the stores. By helping our neighbor we demonstrate the love of Jesus. Let us continue and be that example for others, working together to bring joy in a time of trouble.
As we navigate this intense time of the world, where people are scared and seeking comfort and confidence in something, we want our community to know we are here for you, even if we can’t be together. We bring you words of encouragement through scripture as we share Proverbs 15:23 “Giving the right answer at the right time makes everyone happy” CEV.
We know it might be difficult to find that right answer in times of stress and struggle but we encourage you to bring joy to those around you through simple, random acts of kindness. We all need a little extra these days.
All of us face difficult times, and at times these trials can be overwhelming. Whether the difficulties we face are due to circumstances beyond our control or due to decisions of our own making, this message today provides words of encouragement. (Sermon @ 22:15)
A message from our Pastor regarding our plans as it relates to the Coronavirus outbreak.
Hebrews 11 is known as the "Faith Chapter" in which the men and women listed placed their trust in God to see them through life and kept the faith in spite of what came their way. But what was Paul saying here? Why were these names mentioned? This week we shall see why this is relevant and important to us today. (Sermon @ 43:30.)
(Sermon starts @44:30.) We are pleased that Pastor Javier Diaz could be with us this week to open God's word for us. Pastor Diaz is currently serving as a Ministerial Field Associate for the Florida Conference of Seventh-day Adventists.
Paul tells us clearly that "without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sin." He also makes it clear that all the offerings of calves and goats did not provide cleansing from sin, even though it was practiced daily in Israel for hundreds of years. There is something important, then, about the shed blood of Jesus in His atoning sacrifice on our behalf. Let's look closer at what this means. (Sermon @39:00.)
(Sermon starts @48:32.) In Hebrews 8, Paul begins by saying, "Now the main point of what we are saying is this." That should get our attention, but what follows appears contrary to our modern way of thinking. This week we will go deeper into Jesus' heavenly role as our High Priest. It's significant to our understanding of what Jesus is doing for us now.
(For video, sermon starts @47:40.) Millions of people have a basic understanding that Jesus was crucified and that He died a cruel death to save us from our sins. In Hebrews, Paul refers to this Gospel truth as "the milk." He warns against "falling away" from Christ and not going beyond this into deeper truths and spiritual development. Let's look at this warning and see how it might speak to us today.
Jesus paid the ultimate price for our sins through His death on the cross. Now He is in heaven serving as our High Priest. Jesus knows our pain because He has personally experienced human suffering. Each day, He walks with us, cares for us and intercedes for us as our High Priest.
Jesus paid the ultimate price for our sins through His death on the cross. Now He is in heaven serving as our High Priest. What does this mean? How is this significant? Listen as we explore why Jesus' heavenly ministry is so important.
Jesus is the Creator who spoke the world into existence and He serves as our High Priest in heaven. Yet He is also fully human; and this is extremely important for us to understand. His resurrection from death is our proof that He is who He says He is... Listen now to see why this matters.
Over the next several weeks we'll look at some of the most profound teachings regarding Jesus' heavenly ministry. This week we let the first few verses in Hebrews set the stage. Come join in this experience each Saturday morning as we look closely at some of the major aspects of Jesus, the Son of God as our High Priest, our Savior, our Advocate and our Friend.
The Philistines had a big man - Goliath; he was arrogant and a braggart. He stood over 9 feet tall. He was huge and his mere presence would cause fear to anyone, let alone his opponents in battle. This week we will look at what epitomizes being a giant. Perhaps the physical size of a person isn't the best measurement of what makes "a giant."
Rediscover the joy that came down on that starry night so long ago and how it forever changed the world by showing the gracious love our Father has for all of us.
The Christmas story of Jesus is powerful, yet meek and humble. For when it was time for Mary to give birth, there were no rooms available, so Jesus was born in a stable. Today, we will study this story from Luke as we ponder whether we have room in our hearts for Jesus. For when we ask, He will come and abide in us.
Mary was young and engaged to Joseph when the angel appeared to tell her that she had found favor in God's eyes. Although Mary was shocked at the angel's presence, she accepted whatever God asked of her. This week we shall look at this important part of the Christmas story.
Hannah was barren and wanted desperately to have a child. She promised the Lord that if He would give her a son, then she would dedicate this son to His service. This week we will focus on the inner-family struggles in Hannah's life, her prayer and promise, and her faith and devotion to the Lord.
As Jesus was headed to the cross, he traveled along the border between Galilee and Samaria. It is during His travel that ten lepers approached Him. While others kept their distance from those who had leprosy, Jesus took pity on them and healed all ten. One of them returned to give thanks. This week we shall look at this grateful one.
Lots of people are going to be with family and friends for the holidays, and sometimes there can be tension from unresolved issues or harsh or critical words. This week we shall look at how James, the half-brother of Christ, counsels us on what to do. His wise words will help us during this time.
Some of Paul's writings to the new believers were strong and direct; he knew he must carefully guide them in their faith and service in Christ. This week, we'll look at that guidance from Paul; his words, given so long ago, are still relevant and important to us.
This week we shall look at how we can relate to others with whom we do not see eye to eye. Realizing that many believers come from different backgrounds and experiences and that it is inevitable that arguments could result, we need to find comfort as we come together in our faith.
Paul was familiar with suffering; as one who was beaten, stoned, shipwrecked and in prison many times, he knew what suffering was all about. In Romans, Paul provides encouragement and strengthens our trust as he gives us the hope in what is to come when Christ returns.
The centurion described in Luke was respected by the Jewish elders for his generosity. So when the centurion's valued servant became ill, the elders pleaded earnestly with Jesus to come and heal this servant. As Jesus approached, the centurion sent word to Jesus that he was not worthy to have Jesus in his home, to just speak the word of healing and that would suffice. Jesus marveled at this depth of faith. He asks us today, "When the Son of Man comes again, will He find such faith"?
The word tabernacle simply means that God wants to dwell among His people; and when a circle of believers are meeting in church for worship, then the Lord assures us that He is present. God has desired to dwell with us from the beginning of Creation. We are the work of His hand and we are made in His image. God wishes to be back in face-to-face communion with us; until then, He wants to dwell in our hearts.
In the past, covenants were binding agreements between two parties. When the just-freed Israelites gathered at Mt. Sinai, the Lord established a covenant to signify that they were His people. At the Mount, the people said, "All that the Lord has said we will do." Although the people disobeyed, the covenant stood for centuries and the Lord fulfilled His promises to them. Let's look at this relationship of God to Israel and see how it relates to us today.
When the Israelites gathered at Mt. Sinai, the Lord established a covenant with them. This covenant included the giving of the Ten Commandments, which were written by the finger of God onto two tablets of stone. Later when Jesus walked the earth, the Jews were so involved with keeping the letter of the Law, they missed the most important aspect of loving God and loving other people. Today we will see how Jesus' words compare to the Law given on the mount.
In Colossians, Paul writes to the believers that everything we believe in faith is based on the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. This passage has a powerful meaning for all of us who believe. This week we gather together to participate in the Lord's Supper. We are promised that when we come to His table, He is present through the Holy Spirit.
A man born blind has his eyes opened! Not only does he see the world around him for the first time, he discovers his eyes are opened far beyond physical sight. He states the one thing that we must all see. Our desire is to capture the meaning of this story and to confront the question: What is the one thing I must know?
From humble beginnings to how Christians worship today, the differences in worship have some similarities. But there have been dramatic changes. John portrays the very throne room of God as being in constant worship and praise of God for the actions He did in Creation and to redeem mankind from sin. This week we will look deeper into how each of us might enrich our own worship experience when we gather together.
Christian worship has changed several times throughout history. From the experience of the early believers to the emphasis on the elements of Mass, to the Reformers emphasis on the truths in the Bible, to the changes we see today in the Western world. We shall see how this impacts us as believers in our own church.
When Jesus was arrested and taken to the High Priest's residence, Peter and John followed. The disciples were scared; they feared for their own lives; they felt helpless to intervene with authorities. It was here in the High Priest's courtyard on that cold spring night that Peter, fearing for his life, denied knowing the Lord. It is something he quickly regretted and agonized over. As we look closely at this moment in Peter's life, we will see promise and hope for all of us.
When the soldiers came to arrest Jesus, He asked them "Who is it you want?" We shall look at what John's gospel shares about that night in the Garden; it's something that we should notice carefully; it's a moment that can touch all of us.
Jesus spoke a specific prayer shortly before His arrest. In it, Jesus prayed for His disciples, then for all believers of all time. That includes all of us who have chosen to follow Jesus. We will look at this prayer and see why it is significant to us today.
After Jesus laid out the hypocrisy of the Pharisees and teachers of the Law, the disciples asked Jesus about the future and when it would happen. Bible scholars have parsed Jesus' words and applied each point to either a historical event or to the future. And although a great deal of effort has gone into creating timelines of the events (the when), we need to look to Jesus (the who) for how His message is intended for us today.
During the last visit to the temple before Jesus went to the cross, He pronounced strong judgment on the Pharisees and teachers of the Law. They had already conspired with the chief priests to put Him to death. Jesus spoke the blunt truth; it was piercing and shocking. We shall look closely at the last two of His seven woes and allow them speak to us today.
As Jesus was resolutely making His way from Galilee to Jerusalem and to His death on the Cross, He taught the people along the way. His stories regarding how to inherit eternal life can seem to indicate that it is very difficult to obtain. But we will look at these passages to get insight on how to live today for His kingdom.
The words and healings of Jesus drew the attention of people who had questions about whether He was their long-awaited Messiah. The Jews were hoping that Jesus would be their deliverer, the One anointed from on High to free them from Roman oppression. This week we will look at the division that surrounded this question as to who Jesus was.
As Jesus resolutely set out for Jerusalem from Galilee on His way to the Passion of the Cross, He encountered a series of events of significant in light of His final journey. One man approached Jesus who wanted to follow Him; however Jesus challenges this man as to what "following Him" would involve. This is something we all need to know and understand as we decide to follow Jesus wherever He leads.
After the miraculous feeding of the 5,000, Jesus sent his disciples out onto Lake Galilee while He went into the mountain to pray alone. In the early morning (during the Fourth Watch), Jesus walked on the water towards them. His disciples thought that the figure was a ghost, and fear gripped their hearts. But Jesus called out to them that it was indeed the Lord. This is when Peter asked to walk on the water to meet Him. We will study this story and see how it was of such encouragement to those experiencing persecution during the Early Church period.
Following the Transfiguration, Jesus along with Peter, James and John, descended the mount to find the other disciples with a father who brought his demon-possessed son to be healed. And, although Jesus had given them the power to cast out demons, they had tried and failed. Once alone with Jesus, they answered Him why this was. His response to them will help us in our own faith journey as we increase our reliance upon Christ.
Jesus called men who were not among the elite religious class, but common people living normal lives of their day. Each had their own unique background, personality and problems. To be chosen to be a disciple was a dream come true, but later those disciples were martyred for their belief in who Jesus was, the Son of God. This week we will look at what being called means for us today.
Jesus pointed out how even prayer could be abused and exploited. In a few words, He gives us a prayer to follow; we call this "The Lord's Prayer." Jesus probably wasn't looking for us to memorize this prayer, but for us to use it to know how to pray. This week, we will study different aspects of this prayer, and perhaps this will lead us to experience more depth in our own prayer life.
Jesus declared that He didn't come to change the Law or the Prophets, but to fulfill them. Yet, the Pharisees accused Him of destroying or ignoring the requirements of the Law. Jesus further made His point by saying that if our righteousness doesn't exceed the righteousness of the Pharisees, then we would not see the kingdom of heaven. But how could that be. This week we shall see what Jesus meant.
We look forward to when Jesus will come again and take us to heaven; we naturally think of this as being in the future. However, Jesus surprised His listeners when He said the "Kingdom of Heaven is at hand". Those who heard this wondered how could that be since they were under the brutal rule of the Roman Empire. This Sabbath we will see what Jesus meant by "the kingdom is here now."
While tracing the beginning of the Jewish people, we studied the call of Abraham to leave his home for the Promised Land, the passing on of that promise to his descendants who were enslaved in Egypt, the series of ten plagues which ended when the "angel of the Lord" struck the first born in Egypt but spared those covered by the blood, their hurried exit from Egypt, the parting of the Red Sea so that the Israelites could cross on dry land, and the Lord leading them to Mount Sinai, where He gave His most gracious gift to mankind.
After the Israelites walked through the Red Sea on dry ground, the Lord brought the parted waters upon Pharaoh and his army. After leaving Egypt, the Israelites became a nation dependent on the Lord for water, food and protection. Although the Israelites were known to grumble, this week we shall see how the Lord provided for them with deep compassion and caring.
After the Passover Angel struck Egypt slaying the first born of all those who didn't put blood on their doorposts, Pharaoh ordered Israel to leave at once. Then Pharaoh realized his lost of free workforce, reversed his order, and suddenly organized and lead 600 war chariots to bring back the Israelites. Soon Pharaoh was upon the encamped Jews and trapped them. But right then the Lord parted the Red Sea and ordered the Israelites to move forward. This week we will see how the incredible Staff of God worked a miracle and how that act will be minor compared to the rescue to come.
To ignite a physical flame, we need different sizes and types of wood; to ignite a spiritual flame for God, we need every member of the church united together. "For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them."
After the Resurrection, Jesus greeted His disciplines by saying, "Peace be with you". These words had significant meaning to them, especially as they were going through the transition of having Jesus physically with them to having Him present through the Spirit. We will examine these words and see how this is how we ought to greet one other.
Pharaoh refused repeatedly the warnings from the Lord to let His people go. Now the Lord would bring on the final plague--the death of the firstborn son of each family including the cattle. However, the Israelites were instructed on what to do to receive protection as the angel of the Lord passed over around midnight. Thus, the story of the Passover, which foretold of how Jesus, the Lamb of God, was offered for the sins of the world, is truly a story of deliverance.
The Lord warned Moses and Aaron that Pharaoh would not listen to His message to let the Israelites leave. Through a series of plagues, the Lord used "His mighty hand" to accomplish their deliverance from Egyptian slavery. This story of the Exodus of Israel foretells how God will rescue His people at the end of this world; when God's people from "every tribe, tongue and nation" will be delivered.
After God spoke to Moses at the burning bush, Moses and Aaron spoke to the Israelite leaders in Egypt; and they were convinced that the Lord had heard their anguish and had come to rescue them from bondage. The story reveals how Moses worked through God's leadership to perform mighty deeds before Pharaoh, who did not know God and would not let Israel go to the wilderness to worship the Lord for three days. This week we will take a close look at the staff of God, and how it represents God's mighty hand.
God identifies Himself to Moses in the burning bush as the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob; and God reminds Moses of the promises He made to the Israelites. As Moses and the Lord continue to talk, at times it appears that Moses is arguing with God for certain outcomes. This week we will look at the amazing truths contained in this story.
Joseph brought his father Jacob and all his family to Egypt. After Joseph's death, the new Pharaoh feared the Israelite people and placed them in slavery. This week we'll look at the birth and early life of Moses, whom God used to fulfill His promise to rescue them.
What is your motive for obeying God? Pastor New provides two distinct purposes: 1) a driven attitude to obtain righteousness by our good works and 2) an attitude of being drawn to our loving and merciful God, who died to be with us throughout all eternity. Listen as Pastor New describes how this played out in his life.
The story of Joseph speaks to the watchful care of the Lord over us no matter what difficulties and trials we face. By remaining faithful to God in all aspects of his life, Joseph honored the Lord and demonstrated how faithfulness intertwined with service becomes an incredible blessing to others.
Jacob had twelve sons from four different women; and the Bible says, he loved Joseph the most. So when Joseph revealed a series of dreams in which his brothers, and even his parents, would bow down to him, the brothers' hatred grew even more and they wanted to kill him.
Jacob, who deceived his brother Esau of his birthright and tricked his father Issac in order to receive the spiritual blessing, fled to the home of his mother Rebekah in search of a wife. He worked seven years for Laban, Rebekah's brother, for the hand of Rachel in marriage. But instead Laban gave him Rachel's sister, and then agreed to give him Rachel for working seven more years. After the years passed, Jacob fled again. But now there is a positive turn, Jacob has an encounter with God. Let's see what God has to say to us today through this story.
Last week we learned how Esau sold his birthright to Jacob for a bowl of stew. The Bible says Esau despised his birthright; he didn't want the responsibility of being the spiritual leader of the family. Nevertheless, Issac felt obligated to give the spiritual blessing to his firstborn, Esau. However, when Rebekah heard of this, she quickly developed a plan to ensure that the blessing went to Jacob. This week we will look at this sad story and see the pointed message it has for us today.
Abraham's son Issac prayed that his wife Rebekah would have a child, and afterwards she gave birth to twin boys. The sons were very different from each other. This week we will see how God is patient with even the most deceptive people.
The Lifetime TV reality show called "Marriage at First Sight" is evidently quite popular. The idea of the show is for single young adults to go through a series of interviews and be matched with someone they have never met. Both individuals are trusting that the "professionals" will match them with their perfect mate. They only see each other when the bride walks down the aisle to meet the groom, and they exchange life-long vows to each other. It's like a modern take on the concept of "arranged marriages." This week we will look at an arranged marriage between Isaac and Rebekah and see what lessons we can learn.
Abraham was tested when the Lord instructed him to take his son Issac and offer him as a burnt offering. Abraham arose the next morning and set out to do as the Lord commanded. This week we look at that moment in Abraham and Isaac's life, and see how the Lord did provide for them and for all of us.
Abraham is given a promise (a covenant) from the Lord that his descendants would become a great nation. And the Bible says that Abraham believed God and it was credited to him as righteousness. What's puzzling is that it doesn't sound as though Abraham and his wife believed that God would keep this promise; for they worked out an alternative plan, one that has led to centuries of conflict and struggle. Yet, righteousness was credited to Abraham because he believed. Let's take a look at this and try to discover how that could be.
Abraham believed God by faith and left his father's land to move to a place "he did not know where he was going." It makes us wonder why God would require Abraham to move, and why Abraham believed he should obey. Let's examine God's call to Abraham and see how it relates to God's call upon our life today.
The amazing story of Noah and the flood has fascinated people for many centuries. Some scoff at the story saying it was impossible to have happened. "But Noah found favor . . . ." But what did God find in Noah that earned him such favor? And what are we to learn from how Noah conducted his life?
What does Revelation want to tell us about the Lamb? Let's explore the revealing of the Lamb's plan to rescue his children and restore them to dwell with God forever.
In Micah 5, we find the promise of the savior who is to come from the little town of Bethlehem. Micah wouldn't have known how his passage would actually be fulfilled so powerfully in the birth of Jesus. As we look back, this promise still gives us hope, deliverance and love.
The Gospel of Luke reveals the most about the events and circumstances surrounding the birth of Christ. We often read the heart-warming story of Jesus' birth from chapter two. But contained within chapter one is an important and more complete part of the story that involves the righteous couple, Zechariah and Elizabeth. Zechariah was a priest, and we'd have never heard his name if something miraculous hadn't happened to him and his wife. What took place is not only fascinating, but crucial in the coming of our Savior.
It's really unfathomable that "God is with us" - Immanuel. Such a reality assumes so much, and raises more questions than answers. The how, what, when and where are told to us in the pages of Scripture, but somehow it is too big for us to really fully grasp. From Scripture we learn that it was God's desire to be with us. Never forcing Himself on any of us, He does want to be with us. And why does He want to be with us? Because He loves us. And that is unfathomable.
Our lives are framed with a beginning and an end. It's hard for us to think beyond those two points in time. In Scripture, we read the words "In the beginning...." This is the way we experience life, view human history, and note the movement of time. From the pages of Scripture we learn that God was active before time; He chose us in Christ before the creation of the world, to be blameless and holy through Christ. As we start the first week of Advent, the place to begin is before the beginning, where God's grace proceeded the creation of mankind.
Our world isn't at peace. There is much conflict from wars, as well as struggles within our own relationships. That's life living in this world. But Jesus is the Prince of Peace. So, how can this be? And how does this work out for us? This week we shall see.
The Bible says "that as a man thinks, so is he." So much has been written concerning the power of the mind. God's gift to the human race is our ability to think abstractly, to weigh decisions, and to follow our conscience. It's the gift that separates us from the rest of the animal world.
Of course, we also know that we can use our minds for good or for bad. Normally, people try to do good with the power of their thinking. But what about the Perfect Mindset. And what is that about. We shall look at that this week.
The Parable of the Tenants, as it is known, is a very direct and important parable. Jesus didn't mince words as He related the story to those gathered around Him.
Although Jesus was speaking to the people and leaders standing around Him, the words of the parable speak to all of us if we look carefully at what He said.
Jesus. All. A look at Christ's parable of the Pharisee and the Publican and how this parable applies to our lives today. Taken from our Jesus. All. event.
