- Teach them to recognize and categorize their emotions
- Coping and calming strategies to handle those emotions
- Define a space for kids to implement the strategies they’ve learned.
There is also a brief overview of the barking dog, wise owl strategy of teaching emotional regulation as well as other calming strategies.
